Our restoration process is a meticulous journey that involves several key stages, each contributing to the revival of a classic car or hot rod.
- The process begins with a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle's condition, including the body, engine, interior, electrical and mechanical components.
- Once the initial evaluation is complete, we will finalize our notes and findings to outlin the recommended scope of work.
- After the scope of work is decided on, a detailed restoration plan is developed, outlining the scope of work, timelines, and estimated costs.
- Disassembly follows, with the car being carefully taken apart to assess and address any hidden issues. All parts are bagged and tagged for later use or reference.
- Once the disassembly is complete, we will have another conversation about our findings and unknown/hidden damage that may change the scope of work.
- Structural repairs, rust repairs and any fabrication work needed is done next. This is when the bulk of the restoration process takes place.
- Bodywork, and paint come next, rejuvenating the vehicle's exterior.
- Concurrently, the engine and mechanical systems undergo a thorough inspection, with worn or damaged parts replaced. Full engine and transmission overhauls or replacement are options.
- The interior is meticulously refurbished, preserving the original aesthetic or introducing customizations as desired.
- Finally, reassembly, testing and fine-tuning complete the restoration journey.
Custom fabrication, restoration and maintenance work at our level requires thoughtful planning, meticulous attention to detail, and precise execution, for these reasons, we cannot and do not provide quotes. We will provide a best guess estimate for the total cost of the project for planning and budgeting purposes. This estimate is not a quote or a guaranteed final price.
Classic vehicles and Hot Rods are full of surprises by their very nature. During our initial inspection we will do our best to be as complete and accurate as possible. As thorough as we are, it is impossible to determine everything that may be needed at this stage of the project. Therefore it is reasonable to expect that the scope of work and related costs will evolve as the project progresses. Every project presents unique challenges and problems that cannot be foreseen.
All work performed is billed time and materials. Time spent working on your project will be tracked on the invoice and you will be billed for the actual time spent working on the project and parts purchased. We currently are billing $236/hour.
We invoice weekly for work completed and parts purchased. Payment is expected within 5 days of receiving the payment request.
